CDview v3.0

CD front-end / image viewer

This program is distributed as shareware (See 'Remove Trial' below)

<< Description >>

This program is for those of you with CD writers who want to compile a
CD of images. It acts as the CD's front-end, allowing you to browse
through all the images on the disc. You can select to view full size,
search for specific images, make an image your Windows wallpaper, save
image to disk, or run a full screen slideshow of your images directly
	from CD.

<< SETUP >>

CDview is very easy to configure.

	1) CDview files and 'images' folder are placed on the CD's root
	directory. These files are...

	cdview.exe
	cdview.ini
	msvbvm60.dll
	autorun.inf
menupic.jpg - Optional (see Extras below)
splash.jpg - Optional (see Extras below)
cdview.wav - Optional (see Extras below)
	readme.txt - Optional (please include)

<images> - Default folder (MUST be included... see Extras below)

	2) When you create your CD, just place all the files listed above on the
	CD's root directory.

Create a folder called 'Images' and copy all your picture files there.
(you can have sub-folders inside this default folder)

Pictures can be in BMP, JPG or GIF formats.

	3) That's it! Now when you insert the CD, the CDview app will auto run.

<< TIP >>

Layout all your files in a test folder on your hard disk first.
CDview works perfectly as a hard disk utility.
If it works and looks OK from hard disk, then burn your CD.

<< EXTRAS >>

	(( Menupics ))
CDview comes with its own default background image,
but if you want to add your own...

Just include a .jpg image (width 400, Height 375 pixels) and name it
'menupic.jpg'. This file must be placed in the same folder as the
	cdview.exe application file.

	(( Splash Screen ))
You can customise CDview to show a boot up splash screen by including
	your own image...

Just include a .jpg image (width 200, Height 100 pixels) and name it
'splash.jpg'. This file must be placed in the same folder as the
	cdview.exe application file.

If there is not a splash.jpg file in the CDview folder, CDview will boot
	normally, without a splash screen.

	(( CDview Wav sound ))
You can also customise CDview to play a boot up Wav file by including
	your own .wav audio file...

Just include a .wav file (it's best if it's not too long) and name it
'cdview.wav'. This file must be placed in the same folder as the
cdview.exe application file. It will be played automatically.

If there is not a cdview.wav file in the CDview folder, CDview will boot
	normally, without a boot sound.

Note - This feature is not available in the Trial Version...
	(See 'Remove Trial' below)

	(( CDview.ini file ))
This file can be edited to customise your CDview title and title colour.

	(( Default images folder ))
When run, CDview looks for a folder called 'images' to search for
picture files. This folder MUST be the top level folder on your CD.

You can, however have as many sub-folders inside this default folder as
you like. CDview will list all the images it finds alphabetically,
dependant on the order of these sub-folders.

NB - CDview only displays image files with .bmp, .jpg & .gif extensions.

<< CDVIEW BUTTONS >>

	(( VIEW ))
Show the current active image in the full screen viewer.
(you can also double-click the listed filename, or thumbnail)

	When in full screen mode...
Press the RIGHT arrow (or Space bar) to forward scroll through images.
Press the LEFT arrow (or Backspace) to backward scroll through images.
Press the UP arrow (or Equals key) to zoom in.
Press the DOWN arrow (or Minus key) to zoom out.
Press the ESCAPE key to return to Main menu.

Right-click the mouse to bring up mini-menu.

	(( SEARCH ))
Search all images on CD for specified search string, and displays files
	that match.

You can also do an advanced search by typing in up to 3 keywords
separated by spaces. CDview will list all the files that match your
	keywords search.

If you do a further search, this will search this shorter image list.

	(( RESET ))
Resets the image listing to allow a full CD search again.

	(( SLIDESHOW ))
This will commence a slideshow of all the images displayed in the list
box. Select slideshow delay time from dialog box that appears.

	(( WALLPAPER ))
Sets the current displayed image as new Windows desktop wallpaper.
This image will be saved to your Windows folder and renamed CDview.bmp

	(( SAVE ))
Saves the current image to your hard disk as a bitmap (.bmp) image.

<< Remove Trial >>

You can remove the 'Trial' display from the CDview screen by making a very small payment.

	Visit the CDview webpage... http://www.sheilsoft.com/software/cdview.htm

Click the PAYPAL button to make a payment of just 2 UK pounds (approx only $3.00)!!!

You can then download a 'licence patch file', which you include in the CDview folder...

With that in place, the 'Trial' display disappears!
