1. Show your world to the web with KABcam!
==========================================
Welcome to KABcam. The KABcam software will let you publish up
to the minute pictures on your webpage. All you need is a windows
compatible camera or capture device and a website that is
accessible via FTP.

Please read the help file for instructions on using KABcam.

2. Changes in this version
==========================
See HISTORY.TXT for complete version information.

Version 2.2 - 10/23/01
----------------------
* You can now define an start and end time for capturing images. You can use this
  prevent KABcam from capturing images during the night or when no activity is
  planned.
* You can now quickly enable/disable auto-capturing from the System menu and
  System Tray menu.
* Preview window frame rate can now be set from the Device settings.
* Added an error log option.
* Temporary files are now deleted if the upload fails.
* Video capture size and color depth settings are forced when KABcam starts.
  This helps overcome a problem some capture drivers have with retaining settings.
* Improved registry handling for "Run when windows starts" option.

3. Using Multiple Capture Devices
=================================
KABcam now supports using multiple capture devices by allowing you
to run multiple instances of KABcam using different configuration
files for each device.

By default KABcam will use a configuration file named KABCAM.INI
located in your WINDOWS (or WINNT) directory. By specifying a different
configuration name on the command line KABcam will create/use a
different configuration. For instance, by starting KABcam as follows:

KABCAM.EXE KABCAM2

KABcam will create/use a configuration file named KABCAM2.INI.
DO NOT include the extension (.INI) on the command line.

A few important notes...
* This feature is provided as is... It may not work for everyone.
* Before creating a new configuration you must close all instances of KABcam.
* For each configuration you must specify a different capture device.
* For each configuration you must specify a different JPG filename.
* It is not advisable to run multiple instances of KABcam if you are
  using the auto-dialup mode. It may result in one copy hanging
  up while another is uploading.
* Capture devices typically reduce system performance, multiple capture
  devices running at once may bring your system to it's knees. (This is
  especially true of USB cameras)
* It is very likely that some capture devices will not operate at the
  same time as others.

4. Uninstalling KABcam
======================
KABcam will install an Uninstall Icon to make removing KABcam
a snap.
