########################     About "Remote Config"   ##########################
Remote Config is a windows application using on network environment (LAN).
You can manage the network environment of your client PCs remotely.
Remote Config is a Freeware.



########################       Basic features       ##########################
Network Settings
  You can change the following network settings remotely.
  - IP Address
  - Subnet Mask
  - Gateway
  - DNS
  - DHCP
  - Computer Name


Reboot, Shutdown
 You can reboot or shutdown (Power off) your client PCs remotely.

Magnify the network settings
 You can display a window to show the network settings on the client PCs.
 You can easily identify and check the network settings because a large font 
 is used in this window.This feature is very useful to configure many PCs 
 which are set in one room. (like a classroom in school)

Remote Config require the following environments.

#########################      Installation      ############################
Execute the procedure to install "Remote Config".
Extract 4 files below from "RemCon.zip".
1) "Master.exe" ............ Install program for Master PC
2) "Slave.exe" ............... Install program for Slave PC (Client PC)
3) "Readme.txt" ............ Instruction for the Installation
4) "RemCon.chm ...........Help File (Manual)

Installation of Master PC
Copy "Master.exe" to the proper folder on a master PC and execute it.
Specify the folder to install, and click [Extract].
The master program starts automatically after the installation.

Installation of Slave PC
Copy "Slave.exe" to the proper folder on each slave PC and open it.
"Slave.exe" is a self-extracting file. You can get the following files 
to extract.

Top folder
  "Setup.exe" ............ Install program

for Win2000 folder
  "RCSlave.exe" ....... Slave main program
  "NetIdent.exe" ...... Slave support program
  "UnInstall.exe" ..... Uninstall program


for Win9598Me folder
  "RCSlave.exe" ....... Slave main program
  "NetIdent.exe" ...... Slave support program
  "UnInstall.exe" ..... Uninstall program


for WinNT folder
  "RCSlave.exe" ....... Slave main program
  "NetIdent.exe" ...... Slave support program
  "UnInstall.exe" ..... Uninstall program

There are two installation methods for Slave PC.
One is automatic installation using "Setup.exe" program.
Another is manual installation.

Automatic Installation
  Execute "Setup.exe".
  The installation starts and installed to the folder "Program Files\GRT\RC".
  You can not change the folder.
  The slave program starts automatically after the installation.
  The program is registered as a auto-start item to the system.

Manual Installation
  The slave program is a tiny and simple program. It never use any system 
  registry and any temporary files.
  So you can copy the program to the proper folder and execute it. 
  Of course, you can execute it in a floppy disk.
  The slave program is prepared for each Operating System.
  Copy "RCSlave.exe" or "RCSlave.exe" + "NetIdent.exe" to the proper folder. 
  And execute "RCSlave.exe".
  "NetIdent.exe" is called from "RCSlave.exe" automatically when it is 
  necessary. 



#######################        UnInstallation       #########################
Execute the procedure to uninstall "Remote Config"

UnInstallation of Master PC
  Just delete all the files with the folder. The program never use any system 
  registry and any temporary files.

UnInstallation of Slave PC
  If you have installed with "Setup.exe", execute "UnInstall.exe". And then 
  delete all the files with the folder manually. 



##########################      About Manual      ###########################
The manual of "Remote Config" is an Online manual.
The file name of the manual is "RemCon.chm".
"RemCon.chm" is the help file in HTML format.
You can open the manual by clicking [HELP] button of the Master program.
Also you can open it just by double-clicking "RemCon.chm".
