TISFAT Beta 0.64: What's new 16 Jul 12:30pm
--------------------------------------------

Apologies to Anders Melander, as it is his GIF
unit that I use to export to GIF, and I failed to mention it.
Sincere apologies.

Not much new to this release, just a different way
of handling the special stickman type.

BUTTTT, some interesting news for you all:
(all two of you)

Added _basic_ sound support to TISFAT,
not in this release, but when I've got the QSM
format thought out, it'll be there.

Downloaded the trial version of Delphi, and made
a TISFAT player OCX in under 20 minutes.
Alas, I cannot distribute it, as it was made with the
trial version.

ALSO, downloaded Kylix open edition, and
converted TISPLAY to Kylix in under 20 minutes too,
as well as the whole of TISFAT in under a day.
BUT, can't release it since I'd have to release the
source for it too (as Kylix open edition is GPL)

(it was awesome seeing TISFAT runing on Linux!)

BUT.
I'd like to see TISFAT on a magazine cover
cd or two, and once that happens, I will release
the source code for TISFAT, so you can do whatever
you like to it.

That way I don't need to spend stacks of money
on compilers, for a cause that doesn't have much
drive.

At the same time, I'll start work on TISFAT 2,
using OpenGL and everything I've learnt in the
mean time. (and boy, was the time mean!)

Believe me when I say that the most important
lesson TISFAT could teach you, is:
how NOT to do something.

Til later.

TISFAT Beta 0.63: What's new 14 Apr 6:50pm
--------------------------------------------

Added the Export to BMP, GIF and AniGif option

WARNING: do NOT export long movies to GIF!

TISFAT Beta 0.62: What's new 7 Apr 9:10am
--------------------------------------------

Well, a new Stick Type has been added.
This new type features:
* Extra joints to cater for something we like to
  call: "Feet" and "Hands"
* Different drawstyles. For now, only 3 styles
are available: classic stick style, a very basic
stick woman, and a blocky man.
New, FAR better styles will come with time.

TISFAT Beta 0.61: What's new 12 Mar 6:10am
--------------------------------------------

Decided to release this version even though sound
is not yet implemented. Also decided to push the version
numbers up a little quicker, otherwise version 1 will
never be reached, so:

Version 0.61 New Features: (helpfile will be updated soon)
* Movie Description - you can now give a description to
your movie through the new File->Movie->Properties menu
* You can resize the movie at any time by accessing the
  menu option above.
* You can now copy and paste a FrameSet between layers
of the same type (ie: stickmen, whatever).
* There is now a permanent "VIDEO" layer.
NOTE: this is NOT a layer to play back videos in your
TISFAT movies, this is purely for EDITING. You can load
AVI clips only, and they only appear during editing in
TISFAT, not during playback in TISPLAY.
If you delete a movie that a SIF file refers too, it will simply
not be displayed during the next edit, although the FrameSets
and KeyFrames will still be there.
You can use this as kind of a "trace" layer.
* A small cosmetic change:
Layers now indicate what type of object they are holding
through the means of a tiny picture on the title bar of a
  Layer.
* CAUTION: because of the new features, only the newest
version of TISPLAY will load movies generated with
0.61. TISFAT can load any movie version, but can only
  save in the new format.

Version 0.61 Bug fixes:
* With the explode object, the control points would appear on the
last KeyFrame of the FrameSet, even though dragging them
  would have no effect.
* Fixed a few other bugs (ie: didn't keep track of them)

Coming Soon:
* Sound support I swear.
* Not a _better_ sample, but a longer, more involved sample.
* Visit the http://codeporn.cjb.net webpage soon as a gallery
of the best TISFAT movies is going to be set up, and news
about other products are going to be posted soon.
* The non-editable exportable QSM file format!

TISFAT Beta 0.609: What's new 28 Feb 7:23am
--------------------------------------------

* Actions can now be removed by selecting 'nothing'
  as their action
* Actions can now be moved with a layer on the timeline
by holding CTRL before dragging the layer
* The same applies to KeyFrames with actions at the
  same frame number
* To move an action by itself, hold ALT and drag the
   action
* Added the Pirate12.sif sample
* Sometimes TISPLAY would crash if you exited while
a movie was playing, no more.

* This version will be the last trickle feed version until
0.61 comes out, unless some major bug is discovered

TISFAT Beta 0.608: What's new 27 Feb 7:15am
--------------------------------------------

* Added a 'Scale Object' button
* Fixed TISPLAY bug when loading a movie from within another
* Added a sample using that feature.

TISFAT Beta 0.607: What's new 26 Feb 7:19am
--------------------------------------------

DAMN DAMN DAMN CONTROL POINT LOCKING edition

* You can now drag locked control points
* More importantly, stick movement is smooth again
* There ARE circumstances which will make the points slip,
and in some cases the arms will stretch beyond their reach,
if this is an issue for you, don't lock control points, just lock the
feet, and it will be just like previous versions.

TISFAT Beta 0.606: What's new 24 Feb 6:59pm
--------------------------------------------

The "DAMN THAT CONTROL POINT LOCKING!" edition

Due to a buglist coming in early Saturday morning, version 0.61
will have to wait until later in the week. If all goes well,
it should have sound support (and thereafter, the exportable file
format .QSM will be ready to cut .SIF files down in size, and
better playback performance, with modification protection).

* Adding an option to lock control points took the most of the day,
and at the end of aforementioned day (and WAY too many lines of code later),
was nearly the reason for another pointless suicide.
! How it works is as follows: Hold the Control key and click a point to
lock it, and do the same to unlock it. You cannot drag a point if it is
locked, and -in theory-, no other movement of any other point should be
able to affect it. That's not true in this version, things do happen.
All will be fixed in 0.61
* You can now swap KeyFrames in a FrameSet, and the others will adjust
  correctly.
* When adding a new layer, the initial FrameSet is created at the
  last clicked frame number
* You can no longer drop KeyFrame on top of another
* A Frameset cannot scroll beyong the left most point of the TimeLine,
if anyone wants to be able to do so again, please write to tisfat_info@yahoo.com
* Added a "Cancel" option to closing messagebox
* The Layer Properties dialog now highlights all the text for conveniency
* If you "Saved As", and closed directly after, you would be prompted to
save again, even if you had made no changes
* Added a New Notes dialog at startup
* TISFAT and TISPLAY now look at the first command parameter as a file to
automatically load, so you can now use the "Open With" feature with TISFAT.
* The "Play From Here" button would always report the frame rate as not
  being an integer, fixed

TISFAT Beta 0.605: What's new 22 Feb 7:45am
--------------------------------------------

The "damn those new control points" edition

* Control points would linger on the Canvas after deleting a layer, not anymore.
* Control points appear on Canvas when you right click the timeline and select new keyframe
* Control points would still appear if a layer was hidden
* Fixed some new movie initialisation issues.
* Fixed where TISFAT editor would not perform actions on the last frame of the movie
* CHANGED: when you add a new frame, it will appear with it's new frameset starting at the
  last clicked frame.

TISFAT Beta 0.604: What's new 21 Feb 8:34am
--------------------------------------------

* Fixed the Face StickMan Undo Bug.
* Added a new Sample

TISFAT Beta 0.603: What's new 20 Feb 6:14pm
--------------------------------------------

* Changed colours of control points to indicate "left" and "right"
  sides of stick figures.
* Re-instated the cursor change on control point mouseover.
* Because of the WONDERFUL way a certain operating system treats
messages, the layer name editbox has been moved to a whole new
dialog, the benefit being that the dialog is there for future use.
* Fixed three typo's in the help file.
* !! User movie submissions will be up soon !!
* Made it possible to make the Beta message sod off.

TISFAT Beta 0.602: What's new 20 Feb 12:16am
--------------------------------------------

It was inevitable, but the file format changed slightly.
CAUTION: this means loading .SIF files from a previous version may
cause TISFAT to hang up.
Fear ye not though, if you have any animations thou would like to
convert, there is a version of TISFAT that will load the old format
and save in the new.

* Fixed the Polygon load / save bug
* Added space to file format for future plan of transparent BMP's
* Changed all the control points from Labels to just maths and
nothing really. Movies should load a lot quicker now.
