Kite jumping is a form of power kiting where you use stacks of kites
or a very large kite to lift the flier from terra firma. The take-off
normally is accomplished by jumping upwards, then the power of the
kites do the rest. The variants on this theme are thethered jumping
where the flier is anchored to the ground via a rope, or free flight
jumping where there is no connection to the ground..

Very dangerous. Very unadvisable. Can be very trilling. But then
again, so can bungee jumping and I wouldn't do that. Actually,
bungee jumping is probably safer, and we all know how many
accidents/deaths there have been with that.

ehhhhhhhh, kite jumping...... doesn't that ring a bell ? I think it's
got something to do with highly intelligent kites, who after they've
been *beemed up* by Scotty live a live on their own. They actually
have a pair of little feet on wich they jump nicely up and down.
Really a grazy sight on kite fests these days.

No serious, kite jumping is something you do when you *really* know
what can happen when the kite pulls you. Believe me, you hardly ever
know what a kite *can* do you next to breaking every bone in your
body.

jump on a buggy, it's much safer ;-)

see you up there,

emiel

It's when you lie in a trench at the business end of three ten foot Flexis
in a 30mph wind, and get yanked off the ground and redeposited forty yards
away in a broken bloody heap. The you get to spend the summer in traction.
Sounds fun, eh?
