Thanks, I needed to get that out. Unfortunately, there's a few details I gotta work out and maybe some of you can help. Does anybody know if camping is allowed on the lakebed or anywhere nearby, or would anyone be interested in sharing a room? I won't be coming out until the 15th or 16th and staying till Sunday. What are some easy directions to the lakebed and where will everyone be meeting? I just bought a QuadTrac 3 last weekend and I'd like to know what wind range this size kite would be adequate for. I've currently got it set up with 100' of 200#/150# lines. Are these strong enough for buggying in the high wind conditions out there? Should I bring a set of 50' lines also? Should I make some sort of backstrap for the control handles to take the load off my arms and shoulders? Any recommendations on what type of material to use or how long to make it? Should the length not quite exceed my reach? Any other useful info would be appreciated. TIA and see you all out there! Camping is allowed on the lake bed. : What are some easy directions to the lakebed and where will everyone be meeting? Ivanpah is actually on most ggod road maps, its located on I-15 at the NV CA state line. Take exit 1 in Nevada and go towards the convience store, next to the convinence store there is a gate which leads to the lake bed. There is a marked road on the lake bed and you must stay on this road. Follow this road for about 10 miles and there you will find the other buggiers. This dry lake is home to a few endangered species so you are not supposed to ry faster than 30 miles on it. : conditions out there? I would reccommed that you get a wind surfing harness or something similar. A strap behind your back is not a good idea, if you were to fall out of your buggy with the kite in the power you will get dragged accorss the desert if you can't release the kite. I'll see you out there Fritz = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
