Subject: Buggy Alvord Desert this weekend John Padmajerski and I are heading down to S.E. Oregon, from Seattle area, to go check out the Alvord Desert (dry lake) with our buggies. George Cameron is joining us, up from San Francisco area. Dale and Calvin Vanderhoof said they had other things going on but really wanted to come (I think they'll make it, I could almost hear Dale drooling at the idea over the phone). >From talking to Dale, it sounds like an incredible place to buggy. ...and a lot closer to the N.W. where all we have is narrow ocean beaches. I guess there's even a great hot springs that has been well maintained by the land sailers that go there. It is north of Fields, Oregon and S.E. of Burns, not many facilities nearby. We're leaving Thurs. P.M., will be there sometime Fri. A.M. Camping out near the fresh water springs. Come and join us! It's not too far for all of you Oregon and N. California buggyers. Might be a little cold at night so bring winter gear. -- Mike Eason or Media Specialist: Everett Community College, Everett, WA President: Snohomish County Incredible Flying Individuals, SCI-FI voice:206-334-0362 H. :206-388-9117 W. fax:206-388-9144 3rd Annual Washington State Sport Kite Championships, Sept 1996 Whidbey Island Kite Festival, Ft.
