For the past year, I've been flying a few kites made by a guy called Eddie Stockings, under the name Kited. The biggest is the Thornbird, (about 8' 8")down to the Meridien, a Jester-like 3/4. He supplies a few teams, among them Tri Star of Cambridge. He makes every kite himself, and the workmanship is at the Ray Bardelon level. Eddie is a total perfectionist, down to beveling each standoff end round, supplying custom made spar bags, and a full set of spares with each new kite. He made me a custom Meridien in Icarex and Sky Sharks, very nice! The new vented Thornbirds are just awesome for team stuff. Look out for them, he makes wonderful kites. I took a photo of myself waist deep in a 1000 acre rape field in full bloom (BRIGHT yellow) with a red Thornbird doing a low pass an inch above the plants. Though the field and kite are in full sun, there is a huge thunderhead just behind the kite. Once in a lifetime shot. Blew it up to 2' x 3' and framed it, and I get loads of comments from visitors.
