That is interesting... and possibly explains why, when I played the game
again all the way to the end a few years after beta testing it, I wasn't
quite as bothered by the ending (knowing it was coming probably had a
lot to do with it, of course.)

You will notice that a great deal of exposition in the New Mexico
segment of the game was written at the last minute, and that may explain
the lack of info as you describe. There are a lot of place holders
promising text to come in those areas.

And for those of you out there who care to add a minute particle of
Infocom trivia to their baskets... the file on the playtesting disk I
received was not named Trinity, but rather "ZippityDooDah."  I always
scratched my head at this, as all the previous games of theirs I'd
tested were properly labeled.

I can only assume that the programmer's drugs hadn't quite kicked in yet
the morning the disks were burned...;-}
