OK, here I am with "FROTZ V2.32" (on Linux console and withing
gnome-terminal) and "Photopia by Adam Cadre, Version 1.22 (24 December
1998), Written in Inform 6.14 / Serial number 9089". The colors don't
work for me -- somehow Frotz keeps adding the default background
color, ie. as the game starts, the text is black on white until the
end of the line, but from the end of the line to the right margin, the
background is blue. Bah!

So. Is there some other Frotz version or a precompiled alternative
around? Or better yet, a good Emacs mode? I've heard Maylon was
unstable and that I shouldn't use it for just gaming. Is that true?
Alternatives?

Alex.
