Ffoulkes' home? You mean the opium den? Anyways, if I remember correctly
you must enter the opium den as a chinaman, then reveal yourself to
Ffoulkes, and SAY TO LESTRADE "MAJOR WAS IN OPIUM DEN". Or something.
Lestrade then believes that Ffoulkes is innocent and has nothing to do
with the case.
