Is there a computer-game version of alt.game.video.classic?

I'm interested in old *computer* games and looking for a newsgroup
or mailing-list, but no luck.

Does anyone know books about early computer-scene?
I have a copy of Broderbund Doug Carlston's book, Software People.
This is real good. Does anyone know other book like this?
Also I'm looking for books about history of computer game, particularly
adventure or inter-ractive game, or computer game critic.

Could I ask question about old-games in this newsgroup?

For example,
I'd like to know what happened to Penguin Software.
Their adventure, 'Coverted Mirror' was real great, far better than
Sierra's but they disappeared suddenly.
Also, Terralium, Sirius, Muse, Datasoft, Ultrasoft ('The Mask of The Sun'),
those great developers, where are they now???

Sorry for many questions.

Any info is welcome. My address is umm64905@pcvan.or.jp.

Thanks in advance.
