   Well after trying the most obvious ways of frightening it without using
any particular object I tried using the objects that the game indicated
were related to birds (either in name or in the long description). There
were only two of these objects, one worked and one didn't. Anyway, that
particular object seemed to have no purpose in life and in general there
aren't many objects in Curses that don't do anything!
