What a pity.  You might try calling Activision and seeing if they still
sell it; they were selling LGOP I for $9.95 when LGOP II came out.  Of
course _that_ was 2-1/2 years ago, I think.  Or comb bargain software bins
for a version of it, for any old machine, since what you need are the docs,
and they're consistent across versions.  That's what I did--I found an
Apple ][ LGOP for $7.95, transferred the data file, and went to town.
