No, the map is a map of an area further down in the dungeon, and is not the
parchment.  The parchment describes a puzzle and has several comments on 
it.  It's terrible that they would leave these out, as the calendar, map, 
and parchment are required to finish the game, otherwise you'd wind up
walking the Underground Empire forever.  I bought the original Zork Zero
before it was the LToI and it came with the full docs.  If you do not find
the parchment, I will draw up an ascii representation of it and email it
to you.  I'd post it right here, but that might be considered some sort of
copyright infringement.
