I don't know exactly what that Inform library does, although I did look over
scenic.h, but to answer your question:  Hugo has a 'scenery' class as part
of the standard object library that can be used for creation of scenery
objects (i.e., objects that can't be taken, aren't itemized
separately--i.e., no "There is an X here."--are excluded from things like
