It certainly is.  I'm red/green colour-blind and blue/violet colour
deficient.  I see the world in black, white, and shades of blue/grey or
brown.  People unfortunately tend to assume I'm joking when I ask which of
the things I've been given is the red one or things like that...

The thing with bright pink and pale green is they tend to have similar
luminosities -- red on light green has a higher contrast, but it's still
sometimes hard to see.  I can't distinguish yellow and green; if the two are
place right next to each other I can see the line between them, but there's
no actual difference in colour.  It's a very strange phenomenon.
