I suppose that's only to be expected, really...  Given a large enough sample
set, there will always be a few unscrupulous individuals.  My post was based
on conversations with publisher friends and writer friends, so they don't
really care what happens to the stolen books, just that they aren't getting
their profit or royalties respectively.
