I believe Electronic Arts owns the rights to make the Harry Potter
computer games. Supposedly there is an on-line game in development to
coincide with the release of the film in late 2001, or most likely, to
follow in 2002.

Any attempt by an individual to write and distribute an IF game based on
HP would most likely be met with a barrage of lawsuits from EA, Warner
Bros. (owners of film and television rights) and J.K. Rowling herself.
