And nearly as dangerous is (apparently) the perceived view (by newcomers) of
individuals being on their metaphorical pedestals.  I think in the time I've
been reading here, at least three people have been attacked for being "the
establishment."

I mean, I imagine it may nice to find out that you're considered the [choose
one of: potato, man, kitty cat, woman, Martian, bolt of silk] in charge, but
"The Gunfighter Syndrome" could easily be a bit much to bear, I would imagine.
