Unfortunately, his absence does seem to preclude development
of anything OTHER than brand new libraries or library extensions,
since it is not (as far as I understand it) possible to release
altered libraries or altered compilers under the Inform license;
for example, didn't you receive special approval from Graham to
release the Glulx port?

It is possible to offer library patches, but it's not feasible
to offer compiler patches, since most authors don't (and can't)
recompile the compiler.
