I use Inform 5.5, not 6. But I downloaded the binhexed Inform
application, unstuffed it with StuffIt Expander.

Then I downloaded all three library files (there are only three that go
with Inform 5.5 -- parser, verblib, and grammar.) I made sure they were
Mac-format text files, by loading them into BBEdit, selecting "macintosh"
in the little document popup, and saving. (If you downloaded the library
files in "ascii" or "text" mode, they may be converted to Mac-format
already, but check anyhow.)

I also downloaded some sample Inform source files, like shell.inf.
(Again, making sure they were Mac-style text files.)

I compiled them. They worked. I started writing "A Change in the Weather".
