I'm writing a small (one or two paragraph) review of each game as I play
it. When I've played them all, I'll go back over the reviews and assign
numeric scores.

(And I'll be posting the reviews after it's all over, of course. I expect
lots of us will.)

Well, I will certainly be mentioning the ones that I honor.

I don't think the competition should have official categories, because
every year's crop of games would be judged by the *previous* year's
categories. (Before the 95 competition, would anyone have expected a
"best parody"? I mean besides whoever the bastard that wrote MST3K was.
:) And there are a couple new categories this year, too.

One of the things that absolutely thrills me, both this year and last
year, is the number of entirely new tacks that people try.
