For the Mac?

No, look. The on-disc documentation will be in text files. In the Mac side
it will be SimpleText. In the PC side it will be PC-style text files. In
Unix directories it will be Unix-style text files. These are *not* huge
reams of documentation; they are short files.

The exception is XYZZY, which I think I want in text, html, *and* PDF.
But I will not include an HTML reader. Web browsers are too energetic
this year. Big corporations are involved, and I'm not sticking my hand
into those gears.

The Adobe Acrobat reader can be distributed with minimal hassle (see
http://www.adobe.com/acrobat/acrodist.html) so that's no problem. Doesn't
help all users, but that's why XYZZY will have text versions too.

I have no desire to be accountable to anyone but myself, the game authors,
and the project volunteers. I would much rather fund it all out of my own
pocket. Which I have the cash for. So what's the problem?

BTW -- yes, progress is being made. I hope to have more to report next
week.
