There's seems to be interest (extrapolating from a couple'a posts :-) in
yearly IF awards, similar to oscars and emmies, with a similarly
memorable name, like "The Floyds", rather than "The Annual IF Awards".

How about the following:

    *	Voting starts January 1st, and continues for some set time.
	Everyone gets to vote, but just once. Voting could be via email,
	web form, or postal mail (?).

    *	Votes are cast only for the year just past.

    *	This assumes CEF will be redoing his excellent "The Year In Review"
	article to remind people what went on ;-)
	See:
		http://www.users.interport.net/~eileen/design/xyzzy.7e.html

    *	A central web site would list all the games released in the past
	year, and other pertinent information.

Potential Categories

    *	Best Inform game; best TADS game; best Hugo game
    *	Overall Game of the year
    *	IF programming language
    *	Best NPC
    *	IF person of the year
	(who contributed most to IF in the last year)
    *	Best IF-related web site
    *	Best "short piece"
    *	Design categories:
	    -	puzzles
	    -	atmospherics
	    -	humor

    *	Award for all-time contribution to IF
	(these sort usually awarded by committee)
