At least with the Apple II disks, you likely can.

	on ftp.gmd.de, in if-archive/infocom/tools, there's an archive
called infocompro.shk. That will get a data file out of some versions of
8 bit Apple II full-disk Infocom games. The included documentation will
tell you exactly what versions. Of course, to move the data files to your IBM
you'll have to use a null modem cable or somesuch, as unless you have
special hardware, it's not possible to read/write Apple II 5.25" disks on
an IBM (or vice versa). [Just as a side note, you aren't supposed to start
playing it on your IBM after getting the data file out and then sell the
Apple II disk either.]
