About six months ago my Inform 'masterpiece' <Ahem> was nearing
completion. I was about to mail it to a few beta testers but
decided 'What the hell !' and started wearily to expand it even
further; some of the puzzles were too easy, some far too hard,
and the overall plot just didn't flow as smoothly as I wanted.
Give me another six months and it will be complete <Oh Yeh ?!>.

The plot itself is fairly streight-forward. You are standing at
the bus-stop outside your cottage in the heart of a small, English
country village. It is a beautiful day; a day that makes you glad
to be alive, where nothing could possibly go wrong, a day where in
fact everything WILL go wrong.

Without giving too much away, you will encounter unemployment,
transport beaurocracy, environmental polution, MI5, love, sex(!!),
processed cheese, a damp tea-bag, a rugby match, the tower of London,
an ocean voyage, several bad pints, a dodgy lift (elevator to you
Americans), a noisy fan belt, trouble at 'mill, the Royal
Philharmonic Orchestra, great works of fiction, not so great works
of fact, a University campus, a severe beating, the tabloid press,
bribary, corruption, whipped cream, a hot dog (with mustard on the
side, and hold the onions), philosophical discourse, major stomach
pains, minor skin irritation, three French hens, two Turtle Doves,
and probably a Partridge in a pear tree.

The rest you'll have to wait for.
