  Back when I was running windows I was working on something like this. I
found a better way though. There is a windows editor that supports colors
for commands(defined in a config file based on the edited file's extension).
It also supposed calling compilers and displaying the compiler's output in a
window. It was pretty nice.

  I now run Linux, and have erased all my windows stuff. The editor is in
the oak.oakland.edu windows archive I think.
