 I'm not a lawyer or a copyright expert, but I'm pretty sure I'm OK as long
 as I don't distribute the product without permission.  Example:  I decide
 I don't like Mitchell's ending to "Gone with the Wind," so I rewrite it.
 I'm not violating any laws up to that point.

 There are, I think, some exceptions, however.  Some of the big name
 computer programs include legal wording that give you a license to use the
 product only.  That's not the case here.
