I quite agree !!

My idea was NOT for a newsgroup or mailing list for discussions, but
an area where newly released games can be uploaded for testing by
authorised members of the 'programming group'. The last thing I want
to do is create an 'elite' group, as this could do a lot of damage
to the current system.

The main aim of this programming group is to promote the idea of writing
new IFs, which would in turn promote the whole field of text adventures.
