Hello, I just wondered about a few things here. I've been running minix
in it's dosminix incarnation and got curious about three things.

1. Is there any real difference in running minix from dos or running
minix as native OS. I mean difference in terms of performance,
stability. To me it seems that using dosminix saves a lot of hassle in
installation. But real life always shows that less hassle only comes
with a penalty. So what is the penalty in this case?

2. a. As known, dosminix is started from the dos-prompt. And to my
amazement, after shutdown dos just reappears. This leaves to wonder,
where is dos in my machine when minix is running?

2. b. If dos is indeed hinding in memory somewhere during the minix run,
is it possible to activate it during the minix run, say as a separate
task in the minix environment, in order to run dos applications. Is it,
or am I getting off tracks here.

Obviously, I'm a great lover of minix, but not so very knowledgeable. So
please excuse me if these are very dumb questions.

Thanks anyway, Paul Nunnink.
