Sorry I didn't get back sooner. I've been real tied up with a computer
crash, not to mention finals.

I ended up buying new disks and finally got 2.0.0 installed.

I have since installed Minix2.0.2 on an old laptop (ps2 L40 w/6meg ram &
813 meg Hd). While trying to install I noticed that I had neglected to
put in the correct hd number (which was different from the default).
After putting the correct # in, it fianally worked.

Did you make sure there is an asterix (*) in front of hd2 when you were
in setup?
I've just finished finals and will be spending a lot of time with minix
over the next 2 months, so will be more available to ask and answer
questions along the way.

One curious note, when I 'shutdown -h now' on the desktop I am able to
type 'main' and reboot from there, but after shutting down the same way
on the laptop, the keyboard does not respond to anything and I am forced
to turn the switch off and on to restart.
