Hello,

Its me again. Somehow I have gotten past the previous hang up, I set up
an hd1 and an hd2. I'm not sure how it worked, but was able to get the
machine to reproduce output as in the 'example' text. Now I've run into
another snag.

After I 'halt' and then 'boot hd2' the machine boots. Then, as per the
example, I type 'setup /usr', (minus the quote mark). The first disk
loads okay, I put in the second and it loads for a while then gives the
following message:

Unrecoverable disk error on device 2/0, block 1431
vol: /dev/fdo: I/O error
lib/ego/sp, 0124 tape blocks
Tar: read error.
Done.

I have remade the floppies twice, thinking that maybe I had copied file
onto a disk with bad sectors.
I formatted the floppies in dos using the formatting program supplied
with my Linux. It returned no errors.
I then used the dd command to copy USR.TAZ disks.
Then I retyped the command 'setup /usr' and the same thing happened
again.
Maybe there is a problem with the cd?

Thank you for any feedback.

Shawn
