Great! Those of us who have long wanted to have peek under the hood of ACK will
now get our chance...

Cross-compiled under Solaris using -what- compiler system? If it's the GNU
compiler suite, then cross-compiling under Linux or one of the free BSDs should
be no problem. And doesn't Minix-vmd already have a port of GNU C for it? That
should make cross-compiling the compiler for regular Minix a snap...

That might imply a slight fork for ACK: one source tree cut into a managable
shape for real use, and another tree for the complete source as it stands now,
warts and all. Some of us would love to wade through it anyway, whatever the
shape of the source might be.
