I have an ancient 25MHz SX 486 no-name special. So far its run dos,
windoze, linux (1.13) and Minix. No problem with any of them. Any
reasonably generic laptop should run Minix just fine. Stay away from
Compaq though, and any other laptop that contains a lot of proprietory
hardware. I've had less trouble with generics than with name brands, go
figure.

cheers
