I just installed dosminix and fired it up no problem. I was astonished
by how simple that was.
I did a quick hello world in C using elle, compiled it and it ran fine.
I recompiled the kernal, no problem.
Then I rebooted and ran minix from MSDOS (via the start menu) and it
appeared to run okay.... however,

Using elle, I'm informed that to save a file, I need to type ^X^S ...
this didn't seem to work every time, sometimes I'd fall into the
"reverse search" command. Not sure why. Couldn't access any man pages
either, said "resources currently unavailable" or something along those
lines.

I'm informed by the "usage" man page the I should read the "readme.txt"
file in the minix directory. I didn't see anything in the minix
directory except minix itself. (2.0.2) Am I looking in the wrong place?

Lastly, I'd like to set up a tty port... does minix have anything like
"inittab" or a "Devices" file where I can set parameters?

Thanks,

John
