MacMinix is itself a MacOS application, and the disks it sees are actually
MacOS files. The chances of it messing up your hard drive are about the
same as any Mac program (which is to say, very, very, very tiny if there at
all). Of course, if you already have disk problems or errors...but in that
case, it's not MacMinix's fault.

Should you wish to install my direct SCSI driver patch, the ability to mess
things up inadvertantly in the MacOS world increases substantially, although
it's still not generally a problem if you exercise reasonable caution.

There are other reasons for not using MacMinix, however; if you don't have
24-bit addressing availiable (which, if you are using a PPC system, you
don't), it won't work. It's also Minix version 1.5, which is slightly
different than the current version 2.0.2 (and significantly different in a
few isolated areas).
