On a second read of that list, there are still a good many makers of
PC clones and peripherals that aren't on the I2O list. Gateway comes
to mind; so does Quantum. Any others? Maybe someone could make a
list of "Open Equipment Manufacturers."

Also, just because a company subscribes to I2O doesn't mean that its
whole product line has to conform. (Of course, I would feel better if
any of the clone makers had any history at all of resisting M$
blackmail.)

P.S. I've decided to buy me a new 4-gig disk as soon as the UPS
strike is over, to supplement the 1 gig (with the full Redhat 4.2
partition and the half-empty Win3.1 partition) that I have currently.
I think I'll consider I2O membership as a negative.
