He got his card running by commenting out the code that checks if the
reset of the card succeeded.

That check may have been wrong, so I changed it a bit to look more like
the FreeBSD driver.  (As usual I couldn't make heads or tails of the
Linux driver.)

I sent a patch, but I never got a reply saying if the patch worked or
not.  But this happens often, I've learned to interpret silence as "it
works".

(I'm not complaining, I get enough mail as it is.)
