Surely you must be joking ...
After the initial thrill of my "$" prompt as I installed myself as a
user, I decided to do the "hello world" programming thing, but then when
the code actually involved a REAL FLOATING POINT NUMBER, I got nothing
but headaches. After an afternoon of browsing the 'net to find
additional info on MacMINIX, I see something about how Minix 1.7 now has
floating support. Am I to think that after spending $169 for MacMINIX
1.5.10.7 (plus manuals, from P-H), I don't have a c-compiler that
understands floating point numbers? FYI, I entered the
Fahrenheit-Celsius conversion code from K&R, page 13, with warnings
about floating point constants, and then no results after execution
(save another prompt).

Please tell me that I am wrong, and instruct me in my errant ways.
Thanks in advance!
