If you are using Minix 1.7 you can't do that. Minix 1.7 doesn't have
the kernel support it needs to support a telnet server, although it
does have a telnet client. Also, Minix 1.7 doesn't yet have SLIP or
PPP support, it can only access a network by ethernet.

For Minix 1.5 there is a package called Tnet which provides support
for ftp and telnet clients *and* servers. Tnet also provides SLIP
support. Unfortunately, Tnet is not useful with Minix 1.7.
