Minix 1.7.1 is mostly POSIX. There is some ongoing work on making the
terminal interface closer to POSIX.

: Also; What is the minimum disk/ram requirement for running Minix. I am

The 16 bit version will run in 640K RAM. The 32 bit version requires a
386 and 2M RAM. It needs about 24M of hard disk space for a full
installation with all source, but you could run it in considerably
less space if you didn't want to recompile the kernel or have all the
source online.
