let's keep in mind here,
that the bottom line is,

he wants to multitask some programs he compiled with a fortran compiler,
and possibly multitask the compiler too,

on a 286 box. (with unspecified memory)

OS/2 3.0 and OS/2 2.x both fail, for this purpose.

OS/2 1.0 supposedly will work, but I believe it had some
ram requirements (2 megs? 3 or 4?)
and as he said, wont really let you multitask dos windows.

HOWEVER, 1.0 may be able to multitask OS/2 applications
if the compiler indeed is generating 1.0 compatible binaries.

Again, the question as stated:
Can Minix with sufficient tweaking be prompted to run
and multitask OS/2 1.x or MSDOS x.x software?

Can anyone find a non-negative answer to this? :)

(this is a fun question, but i really dont want to
waste the original poster's time) heh
