ok,
I've managed through much hacking to complete the installation
from a 360K drive.

This piece of information provided the last link......

Could someone provide the offset and size of the minix kernel in
the file called 'ROOT'?

Also, I am a complete and utter newbie when it comes to Unix-like
systems. Does anyone know of any on-line back ground info on
this sort of thing.
