SYNOPSIS OF ACTIVITY
--------------------

            Solar activity was low. A long-duration C1 event reached
       maximum at 1223Z. The site of the activity is uncertain. Just
       one spotted region is visible today, Region 7806 (N06E49), down
       from a total of six yesterday.

            Solar activity forecast:  solar activity is expected to be
       very low.

            The geomagnetic field has been at quiet levels for
       the past 24 hours.

            Geophysical activity forecast:  the geomagnetic field is
       expected to be quiet to unsettled throughout the period.
