Thanks. GHANA. In the first major contest operation from Ghana since 1982, members of the Central Arizona DX Association have big plans for the upcoming contest season. Their operations begin October 26 to November 4. Listen for 9G5TL in the CQ World Wide SSB Contest on October 29 and 30. QSL via Jack Sheldon, Jr., PO Box 31898, Mesa, Arizona 85275-1898. Outside contest hours 3 stations will be up, with plans to hit all the bands. They will be on SSB, CW and RTTY modes. Operators include K5VT as 9G5VT, AA7NO as 9G5MB, KF7AY as 9G5WH, NZ7E as 9G5RM, WA7LNW as 9G5JR and WY7K as 9G5MT. QSL via their home calls. A second group of CADXA members and some friends from the UK will be in the country from November 20 to 30. They will run a multi-multi or multi-single operation in the CQ WW CW Contest November 26 and 27. The contest call sign will be 9G5NN. QSL 9G5NN via G3SXW. Several German operators have set up RTTY gear for Monk Apollo, SV2ASP/A. He was on a few weeks ago testing the equipment. The best day to catch him is Sunday. NAMIBIA. N0AFW, W5/AH9B and NH6UY are planning a DXpedition for the CQ WW SSB Contest in October. Pat, NH6UY, will be packing satellite gear. No call sign has been announced. SINGAPORE. Listen for S61ARU September 5 through 9. This station will be operating from the site of the IARU Region 3 conference. MARSHALL ISLANDS. Ken, V73C, will be assisting in a big V7X effort in the CQ WW SSB Contest. Other ops include KH6HH, KH6M and AH6IO. QSL direct via KH6HH. COCOS KEELING ISLANDS. JA3IG will sign VK9IG from September 7 to 10. Check 40 through 10 meter CW and SSB. QSL via JA3IG. AFGHANISTAN. PacketCluster spots from southern states and the east coast show YA/RW6AC on 20 meter CW. Check 14010 kHz between 1100 and 1230z. QSL via Box 16, Armavir, Russia. SAIPAN ISLAND. JA6CNL, aka KR4VN, will sign KH0/KR4VN from September 10 to 13. For CW check 7025, 10102, 14025, 18070, 21025, 24895 and 28025 kHz.
