Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted monthly values during the day, and enhanced 15-50% at night. June 26 Solar activity was moderate, with an M1/1N flare at 0145UT, and an M1/SN flare at 1507UT. The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was quiet to unsettled. Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted monthly values. Spread F at night may have degraded HF communications. June 27 Solar activity was moderate, with an M3/2N at 1126UT. The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was quiet. Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted monthly values. June 28 Solar activity was low.
