                     SUMMARY OF ACTIVITY

June 25
Solar activity was high, with an M5.1 flare at 0322UT.
The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was unsettled to active until
1500UT, then quiet.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted 
monthly values during the day, and enhanced 15-50% at night.

June 26
Solar activity was moderate, with an M1/1N flare at 0145UT, and an
M1/SN flare at 1507UT.
The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was quiet to unsettled.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted 
monthly values. Spread F at night may have degraded HF communications.

June 27
Solar activity was moderate, with an M3/2N at 1126UT.
The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was quiet.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted monthly
values.

June 28
Solar activity was low.
The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was quiet.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted monthly
values.

The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was unsettled to active until
1500UT, then quiet.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted

June 30
Solar activity was very low.
The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was quiet.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were near predicted
monthly values.

July 1
Solar activity was low.
The geomagnetic field at Learmonth (WA) was mostly quiet to unsettled,
with minor storm levels 12-15UT and active levels 21-24UT.
Ionospheric F2 critical frequencies at Sydney were enhanced by 30-50%
05-06UT and 15-17UT, and otherwise near predicted July values.
Sporadic E layer was present throughout the day, and blanketed the
F layer from 18-19UT.


     FORECAST FOR THE NEXT WEEK (2 - 8 JULY)

              Quiet to unsettled 5 - 8 July.
