		Planetary Data

(P) 8th One:
8th One, 6 X 10 sectors, has an atmosphere of Chlorine, a temperature of 800 to 1100
degrees Fahrenheit, and a gravity of .6 G.
This is a planet that has an extremely corrosive atmosphere which will have a damaging
effect on all man-made objects exposed to it. The planet has no moons.

(P) Cinkol:
Cinkol, 4 X 8 sectors, has an atmosphere of hydrogen/nitrogen, a temperature of 20 to 50
degrees Fahrenheit, and a gravity of .6 G.
This is a small world with no seas or moons.

(P) Incidvu: Colonies - AFT Zode's Armory, WCE Rio Bravo
Incidvu, 17 X 34 sectors, has an atmosphere of nitrogen/hydrogen/ oxygen, a temperature of
10 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, and a gravity of 1.1 G. Incidvu has a central sea.
This is a medium sized world with a breathable atmosphere. The planet probe detects
four locations at the edge of the sea which are inconsistent with data available to the
probe. The world has one moon, Incidout.

   (M) Incidout:
Incidout, 2 X 4 sectors, has no atmosphere, a temperature of -30 to 0 degrees Fahrenheit,
   and a gravity of .4 G.
Incidout is a small barren world with no unusual surface features.

(P) Usrog:
Usrog, 5 X 12 sectors, has an atmosphere of carbon dioxide, a temperature of 100 to 120 degrees
Fahrenheit, and a gravity of .6 G. Usrog is almost all sea except for a small island in the
center of the planet which is approximately 4 sectors in size. Usrog is a world that has a
high infra-red signature. The single land mass emits less heat than the rest of the planetary
surface. The planet has one moon named Pinpt.

  (M) Pinpt:
Pinpt, 1 X 2 sectors, has no atmosphere, a temperature of -200 to 20 degrees Fahrenheit,
  and a gravity of .1 G.
Pinpt is a small moon completely composed of ice. It may have been a fragment of a comet
captured by the planet's gravitational pull.

Additional Information

Incidvu
Water eel: In the waterways of Incidvu, you encountered the water eel. This creature is about
4 feet long, and has sharp fangs whose bite secretes a deadly poison. This snakelike creature
has very tough skin which could be of some marketable value if many of them were gathered.

Proto-spheres: Discovered in huge clusters along the bottom of the Incidvu sea are 3 feet in
diameter proto-spheres. These clusters may cover areas in excess of 3 square miles. They float
with the currents and often can be detected from orbit. Each sphere is exactly the same, and
appears to be composed of an odd tough jelly-like substance. The spheres are not connected but
they still maintain a loose connection with those adjacent.

Incidvu pumping complex: Upon landing it becomes obvious that the alien structure is a massive
pump. It is drawing water from the adjacent sea and pumping it somewhere. The actual volume of
water being pumped is incredible. The structure itself is constructed of metals/nonmetals,
thorlium, and some unknown metal. It was impossible even to scrape off a sample. There is no
obvious means of access.

There were four pumps on Incidvu which kept the water in the seas circulating to keep the
proto-spheres alive. In an attempt to eradicate the protospheres, SMS (later COM) Blacksheep
bombarded the pumps. The result was that the water all flowed downhill and left half of the
proto-spheres exposed to the atmosphere. A USS colony was flooded. The proto-spheres tried
to eat the planet until the pumps were repaired.

Proto-spheres are nasty plants which eat anything. They must be in circulating water to be
under control. The only way to kill them is stagnant water. Acid, heat, cold, vacuum, nuclear
explosions, etc., do not harm them, although a nuclear explosion will put them into remission
for a while. They consume massive amounts of oxygen.

Transhole symbiotic growth: The grassland areas are covered with a dense fungal growth. This
organism appears to be living in a symbiotic relationship with some bacteria-size organisms
living in the shallow root systems. The plant has no obvious useful value.

8th One
At sector 4-1 there is a trench and an underground cavern.
8th One cavern lifeforms: Upon examination of the caverns of 8th One you discover that the
entire inside is covered with an oddly pulsating lifeform. It is glistening with moisture.
At various points are what appears to be half digested winged lifeforms. Upon touching the
liquid, one of your men is injured when his spacesuit starts to dissolve. You avoid coming
into contact with the lifeform.

8th One cavern ecology: The dome structures appear to be the nests of the cavern flyers. The
flyers are omnivorous, apparently feeding on small flyers and the lichen-like plant life. The
flyers associated with each nest cluster and are hostile to outsiders and will protect their
nests. The flyers are not very intelligent, possessing instinctive defense mechanisms only.
They will always attack outsiders who threaten them.

8th One atmosphere analysis: After detailed studies of 8th One's atmosphere the following
facts are determined: the combination of friction and the atmosphere is the main cause of
ship-related damage. The slower the craft moves the less the damage. The areas of the planet
which have a high humidity are more dangerous than the drier areas.

8th One trench flyer: A small flying lifeform is observed in the trenches of 8th One. It is
1 foot long and has four sets of thin membranous wings. The wings indicate that the creature
glides more than it flies. It seldom lands but when it does it is in the upper portions of
the trench. It appears relatively harmless.
