Problems with the PDF Files of the Reference Manual

SuSE Linux: Version 7.3

Symptom

The PDF files of the SuSE Linux Reference Manual located in the directory /docu, CD 1, cannot be opened (with the exception of the German version).

Cause

When calling in pdflatex, the system has tried to load pictures in a wrong file format.

Solution

• If you need the whole RPM packages, please download them from our update page at: SuSE Linux 7.3 (i386): Patches, Updates, Bugfixes (http://www.suse.de/de/support/download/updates/73_i386.html).
• If you are only interested in the PDF files as such, please download them from our FTP server: ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/7.3/docu/.
