SuSE Linux: Version 8.0
As described in the Reference manual (Chapter The SuSE Linux Boot
Concept) and in "New SuSE Network Configuration and Features" (http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/mmj_network80.html), almost all
rc.config variables have been moved to the
/etc/sysconfig hierarchy.
However, several variables cannot be found in the mentioned files.
Unfortunately, it was necessary to
take additional variables away from rc.config or to
move them to a different file at /etc/sysconfig
If you cannot find a specific variable (e.g., KBD_NUMLOCK),
search for the right file with the command
find /etc/sysconfig -type f | xargs grep KBD_NUMLOCKIf you do not find anything, try with a substring. For example, instead of
POSTFIX_NULLCLIENT use only:
find /etc/sysconfig -type f | xargs grep NULL
